Just a quick note, WordPress 2.7 is not live on RatChatter blogs.
Please take a look around and feel free to ask questions if you have any.
We hope to be upgrading to WordPress 2.7 MU soon. Soon, as in the next few weeks … I hope.
We’ve been using WordPress 2.7 on Rattitude.com since just before it was finalized and we are finding it to be much easier to use, and much quicker to actually get to writing.
This is just a little heads-up to our RatChatter bloggers to expect some changes. Your dashboard will look quite a bit different once the upgrade goes through; and, we have already conscripted Design by JellyBeen to help those that need any additional pointers.
Just a quick note … we had some file cleaning down in the themes directory. To the best of our knowledge everything is put back to normal but if there are any concerns or questions or odd display issues with your blog please let us know of write a comment on the Design by JellyBeen blog.

Just a thought for those RatChatter bloggers that do not already have a link in their profile “Website URL”, you can use your blog details for your website, let other know you are a RatChatter blogger. Here’s how:
- Go to your “USER CP”
- Click on the “My Profile” icon (on the right side of the screen)
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and enter the necessary details into the Website boxes
- Click the “Change Profile” button
What will this do? If someone clicks on the little globe under your avatar (it shows if you have information entered into your Website details) they will be taken to your blog!
Enjoy!

OK, so maybe I’m stealing the title from a Toby Keith song, but I was just wondering how everyone is liking their blogs.
- Are there things we could be adding?
- Does anyone need help getting started or working with a specific template/theme?
- Are there certain parts of the program you are having trouble understanding how to use?
We’re here to help, or find the help you need, which ever we can do to make your blogging experience here more enjoyable.

We just added Akismet Spam protection to the blogs here. To the best of our understanding by using the footer acknowledgement we are meeting the installation requirements for a multi-user site such as ours.
The acknowledgement is done by a piece of code called a plug-in. This plug-in is currently installed in to automatically activate on every blog, new and old alike. We do not expect to be distracted by any amount of spam comments, but this is a good safe-guard all the same.
Again, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact: myself; or, the Design by JellyBeen team; or leave a comment on this post.
Routine maintenance has shown some of our bloggers (almost) reached their maximum storage limits. We apologize for not taking this into consideration and have increased the current storage to ten (10) times its original amount!
Please keep in mind the blogging software will automatically create a “thumbnail” sized image of your uploaded pictures for display purposes, as well as keeping and linking to the full sized uploaded graphic.
Please also keep in mind, resizing images will help reduce your storage space usage.
We will continue to monitor storage space usage and make adjustments as needed.

We have asked the Design by JellyBeen team to remove the “jbBadges” plugin as the images were becoming too intrusive on some of the theme designs. (NB: A plugin is a piece of programming code that is used on all blogs.) Less intrusive links will be added to the footer (very bottom) section of the themes in place of the badges.
Again, please feel free to make any comments, complaints, or suggestions to help us help you with your RatChatter Blog.
