To register for a RatChatter blog you should be a regular member of the RatChatter community in good standing.  We will also consider other community members by invitation only. Please see our contact page to provide an administrator with additional details.

A regular member of the community is expected to be involved in the forums by being involved in the discussions with other members.  In simplest terms, a post count of 100 or more posts (a rank level as of this writing of “Furkid”) would be a good indicator of community involvement.

A member in good standing will be commonly seen as a member with a positive “Karma” rating and will generally be expected to have a karma score of five (5) or greater.  Karma is decided in an anonymous fashion by other community members.

RatChatter members that qualify for a blog, as we have seen for ourselves, generally follow the forum Registration Agreement very well and those same ideals apply to the writings in the RatChatter blogs.

We realize that blogging is a form of self expression and look forward to the writings of our members, but we also fully expect a few additional ideals to be kept in mind.  The RatChatter blogs are not to be used to specifically defame of libel any individual, or organization.  This would constitute a serious breach of trust and may force the offending blog to be closed and/or deleted at the sole discretion of the RatChatter blogs “team”.

Any RatChatter community member that wishes to have a RatChatter blog is more than welcome to contact an administrator at the RatChatter forums with their forum username, forum email address, and potential blog name (the default being the forum username). If a requested blog name is unavailable for use a request for additional possible names will be sent to the forum member.

Upon approval an email from RatChatter blogs will be sent with the appropriate login details.
